About the product

Hydro HD is a SiO₂-based protective coating that provides durability of up to 12 months. It offers outstanding hydrophobic performance and, thanks to its extremely easy application, is often used as an alternative to traditional waxes.

The coating protects paintwork, exterior plastic trim, and glass. It can be applied as a standalone protective coating or as a top coat for hard ceramic coatings, enhancing surface slickness while boosting hydrophobic properties.

Hydro HD is an excellent solution for both professional detailing studios and car enthusiasts who want to protect and maintain their vehicles at home.

Product appearance:
Hydro HD is not transparent. Its cloudy appearance is a natural characteristic of the product and does not affect its performance or quality.

How to use it

Shake the bottle well, then apply a generous amount of the product to the applicator. Spread evenly over the surface using a crosshatch pattern. Allow the product to dwell for 30 seconds, then remove any excess with a clean microfiber towel. Buff with the dry side of the towel for a perfect finish. The coating cures instantly.

Important: Do not apply to hot surfaces. Wear a protective mask and gloves.

Is it normal for Hydro HD to be odorless and foam during application?

Yes, this is a completely natural phenomenon. The lack of odor and the tendency to foam slightly result directly from the natural physicochemical properties of the ingredients.

Can a different Top Coat be applied instead of Hydro HD?

Yes, choosing a different topcoat finish is possible; however, it’s important to keep the specifics of the base layer in mind. Hydro HD is a coating with a very thin structure, designed to bond perfectly with the extremely dense surface created after Bond application. In some cases, the paintwork becomes so smooth and “non-receptive” after the base coat that thicker products such as Skyline or Magnite may struggle to bond correctly to the surface.

Is coating application safe for health?

Our coatings contain solvents with a characteristic odor. We recommend working in well-ventilated areas. In the absence of proper air circulation or during long-term professional use, it is recommended to use a protective mask with an organic vapor filter and protective gloves.

The car has been repainted. How long should I wait before applying a coating?

In the case of freshly painted components, we recommend waiting a minimum of 3 weeks before application; however, the final decision should be consulted with your painter.

How long can I use a coating after it has been opened?

The coating should be used within 6 months of opening the bottle. Remember to store the product in a cool, shaded place - this will prevent premature crystallization and maintain the highest quality of the formula for your next application.

Can I apply a protective coating by myself?

Yes, applying the coating yourself is possible, but it requires proper preparation and ensuring optimal conditions at the workspace. Our products are designed so that, as long as the correct procedures are followed, the application is user-friendly even for those just starting their detailing journey.
